LIKE & SUBSCRIBE IS...
A satirical, mockumentary web series that centers around Tiffani, a 23 year old YouTube personality and her equally intolerable cohorts, Kyler and Bethany. Like & Subscribe takes a deep dive into the insufferable world of the 'extremely online' that you definitely never wanted but absolutely need.
Tiffani or "Fiffi" as she's known to her fans, has been steadily gaining fame on YouTube since she was 15. When Tiffani first started out, her channel was mostly makeup but has since transformed into more of a lifestyle vlog.
Tiffani moved from Smiggsville, Iowa to New York City in order to focus more on becoming a YouTube star. It was there that she met Kyler, a fellow vlogger who is now her best friend. He's so much. He and Tiffani met at a YouTube conference that was also a rave in an abandoned warehouse in Gowanus. Tiffani’s only other real friend is her manager, Bethany, who is a ruthless New Yorker with amazing blazers.
While Tiffani’s life is busy and filled with lots of success, something is missing. She feels that her Internet fame may be fleeting and hollow. Tiffani has been wondering lately what her real personality even is. Since she started vlogging and sharing her life at such a young age, she may have missed out on some formative experiences and growth that other “normal” (see also: gross) teens had. Is she the same person she presents to her fans online? Who is she when the camera turns off?
"MTV or similar network" is doing a docufollow on some Youtubers and chose Tiffani as one of their subjects. Bethany and Kyler are along for the ride. Tiffani is glad to have the camera crew catching candid moments because she really doesn’t know who she is in real life when she’s not vlogging. Tiffani asks the question, "who is me?"
ABOUT THE CREATORS
Megan Downey, Britt Migs, & Clay Taylor met in a UCB Sketch class in 2018. After becoming fast friends and graduating from said class, they formed the digital sketch group, Seasonal Produce. The group decided to turn one of their sketch ideas about a depraved YouTuber into a web series and thus, Like & Subscribe was born. Megan, Britt, & Clay co-wrote, directed, and produced Like & Subscribe.
Megan Downey
Megan Downey plays Bethany. Megan is a bi-coastal speechwriter-turned-filmmaker pursuing a screenwriting MFA at Loyola Marymount University. Her satire has appeared in McSweeney’s, The Washington Post, and The Belladonna, among others. She is an Austin Film Festival second rounder for feature film writing.
Britt Migs
Britt Migs plays Tiffani. Britt is a comedian & TV producer living and working in NYC. You can see her performing comedy around the city and online for the foreseeable future. You can see her writing in Reductress, FlexxMag, Slackjaw, and others. Along with Seasonal Produce, Brittany also writes & performs sketch comedy with the groups: Discotheque Support and Total Smokeshow.
Clay Taylor
Clay Taylor plays Kyler. Clay is a creative producer at Snapchat, formerly at MTV, VH1, and LogoTV. He is also a sketch comedy writer, actor, and director with Seasonal Produce and The PIT’s Discoteque Support in New York City.
